Every mountain biker knows that regular bike servicing is the best way to get the most out of your moving parts. Sometimes a service can also make your bike look and feel like a new one. Your gears shift with crispness, your brakes don’t make a noise and work predictably, the creaks and squeaks that you gradually become accustomed to are gone. It feels smooth. It rides fast!

These days it’s hard to find a reliable workshop that knows your bike, your riding style and your recent crash history. Why? Because they’ve stopped focussing on the personal touch. You’re just a number on the workshop schedule.

“In line with all This Way Out stores, we’re all about knowing your first name and caring about your riding. This includes getting to know your bike – or bikes – intimately every time we work on them,” said Marc de Decker, manager of the This Way Out Contermanskloof.

To celebrate the opening of the new workshop at This Way Out Contermanskloof, the store is offering everyone one free basic service per person in January 2017.

Yes, that’s a free basic service worth R450, or, a R450 discount off a full service (normally R895).
What does a basic service include?
Set gears
Sealant and tyre check
Brake tune
Torque/grease all bolts

What does a full service include?
Same as a basic service, plus:
Pivots check/tune (on full suss bikes)
BB service
Headset service
Hubs service
Wheel true

Note: Suspension service is always separate. Spares required are charged separately.

“We have a brand new workshop under new management, but we still offer the same attention to detail and level of expertise that we’ve always offered. With our new facility, we are now able to get to know more bikes and more clients on a first name basis,” added De Decker.

“For many, January is a traditionally a tighter month financially and our service special will hopefully make sure that those that have ridden all through the holidays will be able to give their bikes some love to start the new year off on a good note,” smiled De Decker.
